Meet Pastor Kayla

Kayla Roe

Associate Pastor

I’m 33 years old, I have been married to my husband, Travis,  for 11 years, and we have 3 great kids. We have been residents of Hillsboro for almost 11 years now. I am a full time student at Missouri Baptist University, and will earn my degree in behavioral science next spring. I plan to attend seminary afterwards. I have been a member of Hillsboro UMC for almost 7 years, and I became a licensed local pastor for the church in July 2016. I am passionate about children’s ministries and hope to be an advocate of change in helping more youth feel connected to the body of Christ. My hobbies include: reading, crafting, playing games, and hiking.

“Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen: to loose the chains of injustice and untie the cords of the yoke, to set the oppressed free and break every yoke? Is it not to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter—when you see the naked, to clothe them, and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood? Then your light will break forth like the dawn, and your healing will quickly appear” – Isaiah 58:6-8 “Perhaps this is the moment for which you have been created.” – Esther 4:14
